Bout of Books 11.0: Day 1 Update

---Basic update---

Pages Read Today: Today I read 179 pages of The Giver and 101 pages of The Atlas of Love
Pages Read In Total: I have read 280 pages in total!
Books Finished Today: I finished The Giver
What I'm Reading Now: I am reading The Atlas of Love
How am I feeling: I am super pumped but have a headache...I'm hoping a full night's rest will cure this!

    1. I'm pleasantly surprised with The Atlas of Love...I read reviews on goodreads saying it wasn't very good...as of 1/3 done I'm loving it so far! I'm glad I didn't psych myself out before giving it a chance. :) How're you doing?

  2. I haven't read The Giver since Jr High - maybe I should give it a re-read with the movie and all ;) And Atlas of Love sounds good!! Good Luck with Bout of Books!

  6. The Giver is an amazing book. Most people don't like it nor do they understand it but it's pretty great. I hope you'll enjoy it.

  8. Today has not been a good day for reading so far. This is my first time all day I've gotten a chance to start reading...yikes! Hopefully I'll be able to binge read for the rest of the day. :)

  10. Your reaction to The Giver perfectly reflects mine...Gathering Blue was a bit less depressing...just a bit. Good luck for the rest of the event!

    1. I really want to read Gathering Blue but haven't had a chance to pick it up from Barnes and Noble yet...Is it worth the read?

    2. I liked it and I still want to continue with the full Quartet. I got them from the library so I didn't buy it.

    3. I should probably get them from the library. But there is a beautiful version of the quartet that I have been eyeing...I guess we will see what I end up doing!

    I've got to read The Giver. I read Gathering Blue years ago without any concept it was part of a series.

    1. I HAVE NO IDEA! I got it from Goodwill for $2.00...I read somewhere it described as "contemperary chick-lit for intelligent females", so that's a thing?

      Yikes, I did that before with the book This World We Live In bu Susan Beth Pfeffer...I still haven't went back and read the first two books(oops). But yes! Do read The Giver!
